How do people meet potential spouses if there is a lockdown? Marrying is part of the natural order of things and this lockdown disrupts this.
Someone on twitter put it best - “experts” tend to think along one axis and ignore everything else. If you are a global warming scientist then often all you care about is how emissions could be lowered...shut down businesses? No problem...make everyone vegetarian and kill all the cows? Sounds good...eliminate all vehicles? Great idea. Same thing with Corona experts - stop all marriages?...lock everyone in their homes?...shut down all businesses?...yes, yes and yes. It is OK to destroy everything else as long as we can prevent one precious 5 year old boy from being an asymptomatic Corona victim.

My wife and I enjoy attending all the summer and fall festivals here in Appalachia every year, EXCEPT 2020; as they were ALL canceled by REPUBLICAN Governor Bill Lee of TN and democrat Governor Roy Cooper of NC; along with their cowardly toadies at the local level. Bastards...every one of them. Media and health officials included, as well.

Seems like the only activity worth doing might be Trump rallies if all the festivals are cancelled. I watched a several mile Trump vehicle rally with police escort in Tomball TX yesterday. It was awesome. Never saw so many pickup trucks. There were cars too, but very few SUVs for some reason.

No, and I keep my ears/eyes open everywhere...I annoy my local Republican headquarters constantly to see if he is being primaried in 2022...sooner or later; an opponent WILL pop up. Unfortunately, you will get three/four conservative opponents splitting the vote, and Lee will sneak in with 30-35%.

I hope you’re not right, but suppose you are. After standing in voting line for 90 minutes last Friday, and noticing that all (except me) were dutifully sporting masks, I pretty much lost all hope for the now-pussified Tennesseans. They used to be liberty-loving free spirits. Now ... not so much, I guess.
Splitting the conservative vote in the Republican primary to let the RINO ‘sneak in’ is a long-standing Tennessee tradition...a deliberate party strategy. Many decent conservative candidate have fallen by the wayside as a result. It will happen again. (I have two stink-on-ice Congressional candidates on the ballot in my area; even the ‘third party’ candidate is crap. Write-in time to send a message...again.)
Being a relative newbie here (10 years), I’m not very informed on the nuances of the politics. Lee is a disgrace; I HAVE figured that out.
