WHY YOU SHOULDN’T VOTE EARLY
Powerline ^ | October 24,2020 | 2020 BY JOHN HINDERAKER

What was the top search on Google over a 24-hour period yesterday? “How can I change my vote?”

1. Folks, every year I'm stunned by how many people do search for "how do I change my vote".

Top state right now is Iowa. Top metros are below. You can only change your vote in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Some locals allow.

But all are unlikely and have deadlines. https://t.co/rAAcdgSHP2 pic.twitter.com/XNRyJHEfi3

Why do so many people want to change their votes? It happens every cycle, but maybe there are more this year because many are just now realizing that Joe Biden is a corrupt hack who has sold out the American people for foreign money. I assume that most of those who now want to change their votes voted for Biden. Interesting that the states where you can change your vote are swing states that Republicans hope to win: Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Bud Grant, long-time coach of the Minnesota Vikings, used to say that you should never make a decision until you have to. Who knows, something could happen that makes the decision moot, or obvious. I think that is a sound principle. We should wait until Election Day (unless we will unavoidably be out of town), and then, in full possession of the facts, all vote at the same time. Like we did in better times.

Right...that’s why you go online to make sure no one DID vote for you.

If you didn’t receive your mail in ballot, it is quite possible that somebody else got it (stole it) and voted for you. It’s been happening all over the country.

As somebody suggested, go online and check to see if your ballot was used. And if it wasn’t, go and vote early ASAP, because your ballot is still floating around out there and somebody else may use it if you don’t.

Raise hell. And if you live in a state that allows changes, you should probably check on election day to make sure nobody has changed your vote AFTER you voted.

Vote early if you are a conservative and you know you are going to die or jump out of an airplane and it is your last chance as a Republican.

Yes, I will. I called the lady... and I’ve emailed the person she wants me to mail to. And Freepers have been invaluable.

Thank you, all.

This is the first year I have truly been disabled. however, I take arduous Physical Therapy sessions at a great hospital here. I think I may be able to walk better soon. :o)

I voted early.

No way I’d change my vote! The survival of our nation depends on Trump being re-elected.

My decision was made long ago.

I believe all voting should be done in person, with proper identification, on paper ballots, and purple fingers. No exceptions.

Voting should not be too easy. Voters should have to make an effort, like get out of bed, get dressed, and appear in public.

I had a sentimental attachment to voting on Election Day, but decided to vote early because I expect that riots will be instigated in this area on November 3 to disrupt operation of polling places and stop any late surges of voters for President Trump.

Of course conditions in your area may be quite different.

From what I understand, the big state where this is happening is PA and this started up right after the debate.

This is why the Dems ALWAYS want people to vote early. They have to hide what their people stand for - the media helps them - and when it comes out their candidates are really for their lobbyist interests and who pays them, and they are “NOT FOR THE LITTLE GUYS” people have a sudden clutch my pearls attack. Now they are stuck when they found out Nasty Ol Joe really IS going to screw over their energy industries.

“Wait, what, he was lying?”

By the time TN early voting starts we are 5 weeks out, fairly well know all the dirt. We are Seniors so 8 hrs in line notdoable. Took us 1.5 hrs,4 machines, line wrapped around church, all but yesterday. 50 degrees, overcast, cold and drizzling. Even pitiful show up of sigh waivers decamped all but 1. NO TRUMP ONES. I got my yard sign and went up for a hour the next day. 72, sick, need a cane to walk.

Then our county was solid RED in 2016. 2 Biden signs in town...Biden=Socialism in 1 guys yard full of Trump Gear.

I've been voting early since 2012 when I decided to bypass the crowds and vote for that slimy piece of sh*t that ran against Obama that year.

In 2016, I voted for Trump on October 26th. It was my birthday gift to Hillary Clinton.

Wife and I had to vote by mail this year because we live in Virginia but remain registered Florida voters.

I do worry a little bit when Freepers say to dismiss early voting totals because "Republicans vote on Election Day." While I think this is mostly true, I suspect that with each election, more and more Republicans are voting early.

I’ve been voting early since 2000, usually because I’m working on Election Day, as this year.
Friday the 30th is when I’ll vote.
