NEW YORK (AP) — The one thing most likely to conjure nightmares of the 2016 election night for opponents of President Donald Trump is the Needle.
A graphic on The New York Times’ website, the Needle measured in real time the probability of victory for Trump or Hillary Clinton as votes were counted. Its steady movement triggered anxiety for Clinton supporters, who repeatedly refreshed the page, and elation for Trump fans.
The Needle won’t be making a reappearance on Nov. 3,

I had looked at no news websites yet, so I figured this person was just pranking us all. Went to NYT and yowza! It was TRUE!
Then I turned to Fox and then CNN to watch THE EPIC MELTDOWN!

Such schadenfreude to watch the "Young Turks" go from happy anticipation to disbelief to the abyss of TDS in mere hours. I'm certain that no one will ever enter any election count with that insufferable confidence again. This Tuesday next (WOW!), I expect, given the extended vote counts, to be waiting for Trump's announcement later in the week, Wednesday to Friday.
