Smithsonian museum displays Kobe Bryant's 2008 Finals jersey

The Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture is now displaying an NBA Finals jersey worn by the late Kobe Bryant, the museum announced on Monday. The NBA icon was killed in a helicopter crash along with his daughter Gianna and seven others this January.

Well it’s sure to be a bigger draw than the ballgowns of the First Ladies. We’ve become a nation of whining, short-attention-span celebrity-obsessed children. It’s only right that the Smithsonian — Our Nation’s Junkheap — keep with the times.
