The good outcome is the waste of resources known as college sports may finally get reduced or removed.

Colleges and universities do NOT need sports to educate people. Of course these days, they also seem to try to do it without facts and knowledge as well.

I agree. I’m sure you know that, contrary to their college advisor’s advice, a huge number of high school students choose their college based SOLELY on the quality of its Division I football or basketball program. Idiotic, I know, but that’s reality. It’s not the end of the world, but one could be unwittingly foregoing, say, a 50% better education and alumni network for the same price.
