Who has a disparaging attitude towards active military? Certainly not me. I just don’t like them being trotted out as show ponies for whatever sporting event is taking place. And its always the same. A black female, a white female, a hispanic male, and a black man. And maybe, MAYBE a white male in the group. The military is being used as a reflection of identity politics. THAT is how the military is used as props and show ponies, and THAT is what i object to.
It’s PR for the military. A recruiting tool, and a little bit of nostalgia for the older folks that served maybe. A little bit of national pride perhaps.
ALL Military pilots need a given number of hours of seat time.
That requirement gets filled by such flyovers.
