Motörhead's performance of
"Ace of Spades" on "The Young Ones" is the best performance ever of this song.

I saw this broadcast on MTV when I was in college and it turned me on to Motörhead.
The Young Ones was a great show, IMHO.

Doesn’t have the energy of the Kingsmen. But it’s little easier to understand the lyrics.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

Thanks for that one. I don’t like it too much though, but then I didn’t listen to them when I was formulating my music likes...

How would this be cataloged? https://youtu.be/RuPsb8-_hJc
I'd call it a cross between progressive and glam and (dare I say) new wave (yes, I know it was in 1976). They remind me of my favorite band nobody ever heard, Crack the Sky.![](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse1.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DOIP.9u6Izs9uq9cAvL4VB7snXQHaHa%26pid%3DApi&f=1)

I had that album! Did they ever make another? My favorite one hit wonder band!

CTS released
20 albums. They still gig, chiefly in Maryland.

The whole band remains a hot live act from the live albums I have and clips I’ve seen online. I haven’t seen CTS live yet - but it’s on my bucket list.

I like both RATT and Linkin Park. The difference is that 80s hair metal bands tend to be conservative today, and the rock bands that came after them are angst-ridden posers. That being said, here's a great Donald Trump ad based on a Linkin Park song:

Metallica did the same - first two albums would melt your face off (Mustaine influence IMHO).
The story of Dave Mustaine always made me laugh. Imagine being so hardcore that Metallica kicks you out of the band.

I know - I kept waiting for him to get to the point but he just kept going round and round.
