A Muslim doctor has been denied German citizenship after refusing to shake a woman's hand when she gave him his certificate.
The 39-year-old Lebanese national was on the brink of becoming a German after living in the country for 13 years, completing his medical studies and passing a citizenship test with the highest possible mark.
But he failed at the final hurdle after refusing to shake the hand of the female official at the ceremony in 2015, leading state authorities to deny him citizenship.

I actually narrowly support the Muslim in this decision.
If it is against your religion to shake a woman’s hand so be it. It is a personal decision.
But there is no freedom of religion in Germany. It’s a police state in that regard.
And I generally oppose Muslim immigration.
That’s funny, given that they won’t expel ‘cultural enrichers’ who commit battery and rape.
He should have said “Covid”. Then she would be the one whose livelihood was endangered.
Yeah really. If THIS was the worst one had to fear from them that would be great. Orthodox Jews also have this custom.

Got to say, I am impressed with the German courts on this issue.

I helped my wife study for her German naturalization process.
One of the items on the application's standard list of questions (besides "Do you intend to overthrow the German govt.?") is about shaking hands with females. (Other questions pertain to, e.g., clitoridectomies.)
So he was basically denied citizenship for having lied on his application.

Good. Unfortunately as the West destroys itself via Muslim and other 3rd world immigration, this small victory will eventually be reversed. At some point down the road, being non-Muslim will be grounds for not getting “German” (or whatever it will be called then) citizenship.
The man had moved to Germany in 2002 and lived there legally ever since, marrying a woman of Syrian origin about 10 years ago - promising her that he would never take the hand of another woman.
He wasn’t being asked to marry her.
