I’d love to have a choice available between a US and Chinese made item. I’d pay a slight premium for the US made one. The trouble is like yesterday when I bought a small non stick frying pan was everything I looked at was made in China. I did buy a couple of dish ware items from Corning which were US made so there was that at least.
Aye, there's the rub. With the lower labor costs, subsidized materials costs, and manipulated currency exchanges, you would more likely have a 100% premium for a U.S. made commodity good, and most people wouldn't pay that much more.
