I’ve heard that saline and/or antiseptic sinus rinses inactivate the virus too. And that the sinuses are probably more important than the mouth and throat.
Neti Pots are a wonderful invention. Just boil your water first, especially if you have well water like I do.
Gargle with salt water. It does the job.
I use saline spray with a few drops of grapefruit seed oil for my sinuses.
It is a natural antibacterial/anti-fungal and probably not as virus-friendly an environment as normal sinuses.
