Would’ve been a LOT more punchy and funny by leaving the captions and having the poster graphics done with actual photographs of riots, looting, statue toppling, arson. THAT would make the point rather than these clean and antiseptic looking things tha
t look just like (crappy) travel posters that could’ve been composed on a computer by a basic design program. For the BBee, this is a huge disappointment.

I could not disagree more. These are beautiful parodies of vintage travel posters. What you are describing is just photographs.

Everyone has seen photos of these cities during the rioting/burning/looting/pooping etc. This is a very clever idea, appreciated by the more intelligent population I suppose. :)

These travel posters are done in a retro style. I read an article about old travel posters for the national parks that were done it this style. I believe it’s from the 30s.

This is similar to art deco.
