You are trying to interpret incomplete data. The only data most states and countries report is positive tests and deaths. You realize the same site lists the fatality rate for the USA at 2.7%? Yes, most cases are fairly mild, but clearly nowhere near 99.44%

Rather, incomplete data as all we will have for a long time, but based on the data we have Worldometers does report over 99% of cases are mild. And as for death rate, you should realize that your 2.7% is the case fatality rates (CFR) which informs is not accurate as regards lethality since it is only based upon documented cases, which overall have been a minority of those infected. Thus Worldometers warns, "If we base our calculation (deaths / cases) on the number of reported cases (rather than on the actual ones), we will greatly overestimate the fatality rate."

In contrast, Worldometers reports that as of May 1 the Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) was 1.4% (1.4% of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have a fatal outcome, while 98.6% recover).

It is a severe respiratory cold/flu. If you have a weakened immune system, it can complicate into pneumonia, which can lead to death. Otherwise, it’s a cold/flu — you’ll probably get over it.

Were you hospitalized? Were you given any meds for it?

Thank God I’m 9.5 months away from 70. That’s cutting it close.

Curious about that, as well.

Also, what test confirmed it? Several different ways to test, AFAIK.

Glad you’ve recovered.

Yes, obviously the fatality rate is incorrect, and the current new infection vs new deaths is only about 1.5% and will likely continue to fall. I didn't want to get in a wonkish discussion about numbers and math with the OP, only point out that his 99.44 "mild" number was baseless, and clearly incorrect.

Don't forget, be sure to wear your mask DURING meals. Only take it down long enough to shovel in the next bite.

Some people deal with it worse then others, but it isn't the bubonic plaque and we shouldn't be shut down because of it.

“..Were you hospitalized? Were you given any meds for it?...”

Nope...not hospitalized, but did go to my doc to be tested as soon as the symptoms appeared. Once the test said “positive”, My wife (who had no symptoms, but tested positive) self-quarantined and rode it out.
I was already on a pretty rigid Vitamin C and D regimen long before contracting it. I used Tylenol for the fever. I added Quercetin and Zinc to my daily vitamin routine. Fortunately, I never got it in my lungs. Just a relentless fever, headache, muscle aches, loss of taste/smell (which I have since fully recovered), diarrhea and nausea. I also used DripDrop hydration powder to replace minerals and electrolyte lost to the fever and diarrhea. Couldn’t find it locally and had to order it off Amazon. It was way better than Gatorade and was a godsend or me. I’m 70-years old with no underlying conditions. I had the symptoms for 12 days. Finally, the fever broke for good on the night of the 12th day and I started feeling better. 3 days later, I was considered contagious. I did lose about 15lbs and it took me another couple of weeks to fully get my strength back.
To me, it was more like a really bad case of the flu, but I can see where if someone had some serious underlying conditions, that it could be very bad...even fatal.

The one where they stick that 8” long swap up your nose so far that it feels like it’s gonna come out your butt.
Less than 8 hours later, we had the results.

99.44% of U.S. COVID Cases are “Mild”

Yet the d’rats and their publicity arm weaponized it to attempt to scare the population into a panic. For the most part it worked . . . for a while. Now it is seriously questioned.
