It's rather sad to see William Shatner, Pat Boone, Tom Selleck and Charlie Sheen reduced to selling stuff;(

Hollywood is over!

The late Fred MacMurray shilling for Greyhound Bus. C’mon Fred, when’s the last time you took the bus?

Fred MacMurray was notoriously parsimonious. Brown-bagged a bologna sandwich every day and invested his savings which made him quite wealthy. He actually might have taken the bus.

They did voice commercials for show sponsors. Texaco was a long time Bob Hope sponsor. Same with Boraxo and Reagan (Death Valley Days/GE Theater.) Again with Ebsen and corn flakes (BH) Nissan/Datsun sponsored Newman’s Z race car. That organization eventually became Newman-Hass Racing.

Classic comedy never goes out of style.

The Karl Malden bit was really funny too.

Didn’t know that, thanks!

He was quite a horseman, has a horse farm near Lexington, KY, or did.

My son had friends who’d see him at the LEX Whole Foods.

Excellent.

I was hoping it would be a parody of the Conrad ads (knock this battery off my shoulder.)

I think William DeVane. As I recall he played JFK in a movie.
