As President Trump's PERSONAL lawyer, Rudy would have no need for a security clearance. He might have one but it would not be related to his position as President Trump's personal lawyer. His government lawyer would need one for sure.
POTUS is THE classification authority for the United States. Information is classified and security clearances are issued by derivative authority from him.
By definition, he can't commit a security violation. If he wants something declassified it WILL be declassified. He can reveal anything to anyone and it would be legal. It might not be smart but it would be legal.

Such as the stuff on illary and anyone else’s computer, that someone redacted and classified in order to cover up shenanigans.
Also, it’s illegal to classify something in order to cover up crimes.

One thing that has made me wonder...
Does that extend to an Article 1 classified info.
Can POTUS declass congresses “classified” information or is such subject to separation of powers?
A “yes” answer here would explain why some documents are not flowing from the Executive Branch to the Legislative.
Thank you, for the clarification.
