I grew up on the CT side of Long Island Sound about 100 yds from the water. Mom would send my younger brother and I out to catch some fresh flat fish or eels. Good eating!

Trout is the only fish I don’t C&R anymore. Love it pan-fried or baked in parchment paper. In fact, I made it officcial and joined Trout Unlimited on Wednesday. It’s a bit of a drive to get to some good trout waters where I live, but I figure my wife and I need more outdoor time here in recent years, and this will be a good way to spend some of it. A mountain cabin by a creek. I’m an absolute novice, but I know the basics and I’m a quick learner.
