If there's anything that ought to give everyone the creeps, it's the idea of Antifa running whole cities. It's the idea of Antifa no longer being crushed like bugs for their rioting and looting, but instead simply taking over. Imagine a city run by Antifa. Image a gargantuan CHOP zone with no place to run. Imagine Antifa as the stodgy establishment, there to conserve the ways of Antifa. Incredible as that sounds, we see signs of that happening in Portland and Denver, not just turning those cities to rubble, but destined to eventually take over a hollowed out Democratic Party and go national.
Sure, it sounds crazy. But examples of Antifa's presence, not in the streets, but now in the halls of government, abound.
Via Instapundit, here's the first one, from the Blaze:
When she is asked if she is "Antifa," [Portland mayoral frontrunner Sarah] Iannarone replied, "Antifa is not anything more than an idea, that's what vice president Biden explained to us. It's people who oppose anti-fascism. And I strongly oppose anti-fascism and I adopt and implement peaceful responses to that. And that is how I describe my position on this issue."
"Donald Trump has decided to make the enemy of groups of people who oppose his bullies and his militia forces," she continued. "But I'm not going to be caught up in that rhetoric because it's false. It creates division in our society. It creates division in our city. What we need is every single Portlander faced in the right direction, saying 'Hate is not welcome here.'"

To translate all you have to know is that everything the left says is the opposite of the truth.
Meet the new boss ... Same as the old boss... They always get fooled again.
No surprise actually, there are No-Go zones in many countries.

Never been to Portland; no reason or ambition to ever go there. I’ve been to Denver many times, but now I am hoping I never need to return. This doesn’t sound good. With an outlook like this, we all need to be hoping for the Lord’s soon return.
Antifa is the establishment’s paramilitary. Corporate America, Academia, the FBI, most of the rest of government bureaucracies are ideologically aligned with Antifa.
btt
“I strongly oppose anti-fascism”
So..., You support Fascism then.
There has to be some great real estate deals In these areas.
Imagine a city where chaos and anarchy are the norm. Imagine a city where the tax base and businesses have fled.
Imagine a city that has become a killing field.
It's already happening in New York.
I hope Trump stands strong and refuses to bail out these hell holes run by Democrats.
When Trump wins ,it’s house cleaning time!
I say let them have it. They deserve everything they vote for.
Anti-something is always just as bad as the thing that they are "anti". I want to know just what they are 'for', and in the vast majority of cases, people who identify as 'anti-fascists' are FOR Communism.
So she supports Fascism.
Corporate America is gutless by nature. It is beholding to stock price and will always chose the road of least political resistance. Corporations will cave in the face of confrontations with social justice groups at least until consumer boycotts are effective in reducing their bottom lines for a significant period of time.
Precisely! They don't want to be "controversial". And the biggest triumph that the Left won is to be the arbiter of just what is "controversial".

Secondly, why would anyone be opposed to “anti-fascism”? Doesn’t that imply that one is against fascism? Why would any sensible person be FOR fascism? Do people understand what fascism is? It sounds like people who are saying “I could care less” when what they really mean is that they “couldn’t care less”. I don’t get it.

Look at the skirt.
It’s not about money, the boards of directors of major corporations are held by people who got degrees from universities who taught them this trash.
Every HR department is full of people who support Antifa. If it was simply about money, any corporation who bucked the trend by denouncing Wokeness and BLM would make a lot of money. In fact, a lot of companies have taken major hits for supporting this and they have only doubled down.
This is the result of the universities being lost decades ago and the elite of this country being indoctrinated in leftist ideology. Now, the left control all the levers of power.
