My dear friend this, too, then shall pass. I try not to give advice on someone's children but when I hear about a parent who is in pain over the change in their post-college child I realize why God allowed me to go through my own personal hell.

In the case of your daughter I will tell you that being raised in an upright, Christian environment does guarantee a certain return to truth. I will hazzard a guess on when that will start...about 3 years after she is taking home a six plus paycheck and the truth of that enormous tax and who it goes to becomes apparent to her. At first she will worry she isn't doing enough to help the poor and downtrodden. Later she will look at the waste and abuse of her hard earned dollars and will begin to reason as God does. (If a man does not work then neither shall he eat. Proverbs. I think.)

Avoid the temptation to give your opinions on the stupid things she spouts. It slows the recovery of your daughter's recovery. The time will come when she will come to you and seek your opinions and advice. It won't be very long, I promise. It will happen. May God comfort, strengthen, and bless you. He is faithful and you are not alone.

Great advice to BuckeyeGOP, scottiemom. Mine went through that phase, but recovered after developing a friendship with a man who had grown up under communism and came to this country because of our freedoms—and who laughed in the face of leftist propaganda. Thank You, Jesus.

Pray without ceasing that your children encounter Godly people and are mentored by them as they move through life. Young adults won’t—and can’t—listen to their parents as they try to stand on their own without the training wheels; but they allow others to influence them in spite of themselves.

When trouble comes, as it does into the lives of everyone eventually, most people who have been raised with sincere belief do return to Him.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. —Proverbs 22:6
