I read all the John Buchan books I could find. I lived for a couple of years in another country and the bookstores had many books from England, which I devoured.

Robert Louis Stevenson was a fave, Richard Dodderage Blackmore wrote Lorna Doone which is the only book of his I ran across but I loved it. Maybe Charles Dickens isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I read many of his books and A Tale of Two Cities is I think my favorite.
