Please post your IN-PERSON early voting experience:
1) Long lines?
2) What state, county, city, area? Be specific.
3) Is your precinct a Red or Blue area?
4) How does EV turnout compare to year's past?
5) Demographics? Gender, race, age, etc.?
I don’t believe in early voting. If you can’t get to the polls by the time they close on election day then that’s too bad.
You can vote absentee in-person in MO. Limited sites until October 21, after which it will be open through November 2. You must declare that you are out-of-town, over 65, etc. You must have a MO driver’s license.
A US Passports proves that you are a US Citizen.
A drivers license does not.
That gentleman is to be commended.
Early voting is risky. If you cast your vote and then your candidate dies/suffers a stroke/has a major scandal you’ve pretty much wasted your vote.
I would not have thought Sarpy County was blue. ?
Interesting.
We voted by mail within a few days of getting our (previously requested) ballots, and I dropped them off at the election commission at 120th & Center on Oct. 5th.
A Bacon sign actually made its way to our front yard yesterday; word is that there are no Trump signs to be had around this area.
Very red area of Trump’s best county in 2016 (not in terms of %, but gave him his largest raw vote margin over HRC), Montgomery Co., Texas (far north edge of Houston metro). Just went by - longest lines I have ever seen, although people are distanced. About an hour or so wait.
Blue city in Texas reporting here! Went this morning to cast my early vote there was a line of perhaps at least 20 to 30 people ...social distancing made it look longer than what it was. Optics. I decided to wait until the afternoon rolled around and headed back out there and it had around between 15 to 20 people or so, but I am one that gets patient in lines so I will wait until next week to cast my vote for America!! To close... apparently the record-breaking lines of Enthusiasm to vote early yesterday against orange man bad might diminish by election day if today is any indication! If this continues the Democrats are in big big Doodoo! Keep your fingers crossed!!
Showed up at 0634 and polls open at 0700. I was number 26 in line. Ended up being 28 after a couple handicap seniors got in front. I spent about 10 minutes inside (ID check and voting). Was out the door at almost exactly 0800.
Smooth experience and when I left it appeared the line was over 2 hours long. I froze though because I didnt bring a jacket, was in polo shirt with temps in upper 40s.
This is in Northern Cobb County in GA.
1) Long lines? No, but it was early morning
2) What state, county, city, area? Be specific.
Georgia, Monroe County, City of Forsyth
3) Is your precinct a Red or Blue area?
A sea of RED with a few tiny blue islands.
4) How does EV turnout compare to year’s past? Typical
5) Demographics? Gender, race, age, etc.? F, W, 55
There are a few Eastman and Biden signs in my neighborhood. I keep hoping my dog will take a dump in their yard when I am walking him but he hasn’t so far. Having one of those signs means the little blue bag stays in my pocket. : )
First, I presume northern Cobb County is solid red?
Second, do you think the lines were long b/c the elections board didn’t prepare, or was it long b/c of a huge throng of voters? Thanks.
For those of us who don’t live in TX, please explain what this means? Good or bad news?
Both of you have the GOD given right to do each thing so get
on with you life. At least the signs are in their yard where as
the dog pooping in their yard is your duty to clean up. JMO
Is your precinct in Berkley Co., SC red?
Tennessee Early In-Person Voting began today - it took about an hour for me to complete the process, line of voters almost out the door. Social distancing, masks, and picture id required. Hand sanitizer, ball point pen and Q-tip for operating the touch screen provided. Glad I avoided the upcoming rush!
Fayetteville, TN, Lincoln County
TN is a red state
Longer line this year as opposed to 4 years ago
Population of 7,105 with growth rate of 0.62%
Average age is 42.2 years
White 71% Black 25% 4% mixed
71% own homes 29% rent
I live in extremely BLUE California, in extremely BLUE LA County, in Palos Verdes. I see Biden signs everywhere. I received a mail in ballot but I am going to vote in person. I don’t trust USPS at all!
We do have an Eastman/Biden display next door. Go figure. A pediatrician who came out all crazy about people have no right to EVER put their hands on other peoples’ children, in reaction to a post on the NextDoor app. I thought Yeah, just like how Joe Biden doesn’t feel up all the children? (/s)
Anyway, we have quite a few Bacon signs up and down our street, and one of “Bacon Backs the Blue” at an LEO home on the next street over.
Our HOA bans political signs, but with covid, no one seems to be enforcing or complaining this year.
That Eastman seems to be a real NUTCASE if you ask me. For the fact that Brad Ashford has endorsed Bacon, she must be off the charts crazy.
Early voting starts on the 19th in Colorado.
I agree.
Absentee is okay if you have a good, legitimate reason (long-haul trucker not at home, on vacation, non-covid health concerns, etc), otherwise, get to your polling place and vote on election day..
