Amy Coney Barrett apologized Tuesday for referring to sexual orientation as a "preference" during the second day of her Supreme Court confirmation hearing.
"I certainly didn't mean and would never mean to use a term that would cause any offense to the LGBTQ community," Barrett said, after questioning by Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii). "So, if I did, I greatly apologize for that. I simply meant to be referring to Obergefell's ruling with respect to same-sex marriage."

I think her response was appropriate.
I believe some people are wired differently and it is not a preference for them.
For example I went to grade school (a long time ago) with a person who I knew was different. although I thought of him as a ‘plastic person’ at the time, i guess I was sheltered cause I thought gay meant happy, like the Flintstones having a gay old time.
after high school he came out as being gay to people who knew him, but not making a big deal out of it
I had, and still have no problems with him even though he is a well known political analyst (one of the few that tries to be fair despite who he works for)
I know a few other people like this as well.

Sigh. My respect for her was just kicked down a notch. She had it right.
Her answer should have been:
“I have 7 kids. I am busy. You guys keep changing the acceptable phrases every 10 days. How the hell am I supposed to keep up. Jeez, I am so far behind the times I almost called them faggots.”
Liberals like to use the term "sexual orientation", like being right-handed or left-handed, as if you have no choice in the matter.
"Sexual preference" is the correct term because the homosexual is making a choice toward abnormality.
She threw away the truth and caved in.
The left is always changing the rules and definitions to keep people catching up and asking for forgiveness for the next new things.
Just say no and insist on the original definitions.

Such incredible bulls—t. What about prison homosexuality? Isn’t it pretty well documented that there are male prisoners with no previous history of homosexuality who rape and engage in other sorts of sodomy only after being incarcerated? It’s an awfully strange sort of “orientation” that has never manifested itself until some dude got sentenced to 7-to-10 in the state pen.
I watched it and she did it right - even Booker couldn’t exploit it even though the Spartacus Twink tried.
