Do you already have an iPhone?

Apple just upgraded the iPhone Air to run on the new A14 processor, the same as the new iPhone. If you already have an iPad, your iPhone X is getting long in the tooth and you might think of getting that and crippling along with your old iPad for a while longer. If you don’t have one, get the iPad and get the iPhone 13 next year, when it’s four years old.

I have 2 ipads. One for work and the other for whatever. Have had one since they first came out and don’t know how people live without them.

Good strategy?

Yes. The Air is great - and I’m keeping my iPhone X for at least another year. I don’t find the iPhone 12 compelling enough - maybe the 13 will be.
