Of course that storm in New Orleans was a hurricane. Note it wasn’t called that, didn’t have a name, and wasn’t tracked by the National Hurricane Center or even the 1860 equivalent of Free Republic’s NautiNurse.

Yet here we are 160 years later, and they say the “extra” hurricanes this year are extraordinary, and proof of Global Warming/Climate Change, and we’re all going to die unless we stop living well in the 21st Century, with Earth destroying fossil fuel power plants, automobiles, food for everyone and air conditioning. Oh, and complete control to socialist elites in government. Only that will stop hurricanes.

So they can say we never had hurricanes 100s of years ago. Just “Storms”.
