I just found the entire series of The Thorn Birds on DVD. Thrilled!
Loved that the first time I saw it - probably in the 80s? You know, back when you had to wait a whole WEEK between episodes on regular TV? ;)
Give me a good, old-fashioned Mini-Series any day!

THE THORN BIRDS also had some nice music...
I do remember those “mini-series” movies back in the good old days...
Jaclyn Smith was in some of those movies which were based on Sidney Sheldon’s novels...
WINDMILLS OF THE GODS is one example...
There is a sequel to THE THORN BIRDS...
THE THORN BIRDS: THE MISSING YEARS...It was on CBS in 1996...I did not watch it...
‘Jaclyn Smith’
She had a good run, LOL! I read all of the Sidney Sheldon soap opera-type books in High School. Enjoyed the movies later. :)
We girls were also into the ‘bodice-rippers’ for a while. A perennial favorite will always be, ‘Shanna’ by Kathleen Woodiwiss.
