The word "Palestine" had not yet been invented. Palestine was the Roman name for Israel. The article is correct that there was no such thing as a "Palestinian".

Actually, the Romans used “Judæa”, as a translation for the name Yehudah (Judah) into Latin (indicating that it was the land of the Jews), until they merged Judæa with the province of Syria following the Bar Kokhba revolt, creating “Syria Palæstina”.
