Not only does the disease spread, it is found to be
deeper in the D.C. body than we could possibly imagine.

* * * *

And now we find out the corruption is even deeper than President Trump has indicated.

Check out Larry Schweikart’s thread on Twitter

Larry says the Fake Media no longer needs viewers and advertisers. The game is rigged by the huge collusion between big business, media, and Democrats.

Stunning. Your reaction?

How disheartening. However, our VSG POTUS DJT will surely
come up with an answer and plan to see this country turn back the hands of time. He has more moves than Houdini; after all, he did win once when it was seen as an impossibility. To quote Nanny “we’ve a number of arrows in our quiver”.

Yes, you’ve pointed before to Professor S. asserting that journalism has always had a propaganda intent.

He asserts that the parties - initially only the Democrat party - and not the reader fund the production and distribution of newspapers. Actually, when I was a paper boy I got 1/3 of the price of any paper I delivered and collected payment for. And it was my understanding that I was only the tip of the distribution cost iceberg, and that the rest of the cost of distribution of newspapers pretty much ate up the “customer’s” purchase of the paper. I thought the rest of the money came from advertisements.

LS is asserting that there was a shortfall from the cost of running a newspaper apart from distribution and the advertising revenue newspapers received. And that this “shortfall” was covered by one or the other political party buying sub rosa advertising masquerading as editorials and the editorial content of the paper.

You can claim objectivity until the cows come home - but the dog that doesn’t bark in the editorial content of your paper can reverberate loudly through your content.

As you know I believe that if there once were Republican-sponsored newspapers, that isn’t any longer true - and I believe that the wire services in general and the AP in particular powerfully homogenize the political slant of the editorial content of all American newspapers. Again, through the mechanism of dogs which theoretically should bark being mute.

The reason that the wire services should be expected to homogenize journalism is simply stated by Adam Smith:

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (1776)
. . . and the wire services constitute virtual meetings of all major journalism, precisely about business and nothing to do with “merriment” or "diversion.” “Meetings,” indeed, of very long standing and with no end in view.
Off topic, for the past year or so I have not been half the FReeper I used to be. This is because my wife was diagnosed with cancer a little over a year ago and, to my grief, has passed away. This not only hurt my morale but, considering all the things which still must be done but which in the prior 5 decades she assiduously and competently did, distinctly reduced my spare time.
