It’s funny because we get to fantasize about a Hollywood pretty boy meeting his supposed arctic end. But it’s not funny within the context of the movie, where Jack the tragic hero is only played by a Hollywood pretty boy.
Much more funny to watch Charlie Chaplin on the eating machine or singing in the restaurant or passing out smokes to young boys in full view of a policeman in Modern Times, or fighting Nazis outside his barber shop or destroying the globe, or having a food fight in the Great Dictator.
DeCrapio faking freezing to death IS funny, though. If only it were real.
Why was she waiting to blow the whistle, anyway. Right after he croaks, she suddenly remembers that she has a whistle. They could have hauled him aboard a lifeboat and thrown a blanket over him, given him a swig of schnapps, and he’d have been rescued, too. She wanted him dead.
LOL!!! I was rooting for Rose to drill him right in the schlong with that axe when he was cuffed to that pipe!
That’s the difference between a chick flick and a guy flick. In the chick flick the guy dies, so she doesn’t have to live with him, and instead is all weepy forever. In the guy flick, the girl dies at hands of bad guy, and good guy goes out and gets revenge for the rest of the movie. Braveheart, guy flick. Titanic, chick flick. In neither do they have to live together for the rest of their lives, get fat, watch TV together, and occasionally have sex in between bags of cheese doodles. That’s why Roseanne was so great. They were too fat slobs deeply in love the real way.
Dittos on The Roseanne Show. The first 3 years were the best imho and my favorite single show was the PMS episode. Beyond hilarious!
