“Aw, nuts. So tsunamis are out. How about earthquakes?”

I know...

FWIW:

My folks bought their first bach property in ‘65. There was a BIG quake in Alaska in ‘64 that killed several folks in Cannon Beach (Northern Oregon) but did not harm Portland...

Your best bet is an eruption of Mt. Hood or recession from the state/union and having Antifia set-up ‘government’.

P.S. FYI, Eleutheria5, my wife and I are big fans of Briland.

Have a pleasant day!

I took my then 7 year old son clamming at Clam Beach in Humboldt county Ca the morning after that earthquake. The good clamming was on a “island” and we waded out and started digging with another 20 or so folks but soon the “tide” started rising and everyone headed to high ground and by the time I picked up my son and crossed the inlet the water was up to my shoulders. I got the cold shakes and sat in the old Jeep pickup with the heater on full blast for 30 or 40 minutes before I could drive the 20 miles to Eureka and home
