Happy Sunday All...
Kind of an average lineup tonight...the highlights for me are the Fleischmann’s Yeast Hour...Mutual Radio Theater...but not knocking Nick Carter, Master Detective...The Long Ranger does not belong in the closing slot...
How’s it going?

Hi, guys!
How’s it going, Vision?
Viking, it looks like we may have another storm headed our way in a week or so.

Hi Gina, it's been a good weekend but at times it's been sad knowing the President is sick and then thinking of his total sacrifice to the country. Feels like there should be more organizing to show appreciation and support.

Yes, but he’s much better. He just left the hospital. Many, many prayers have gone up for him, as they have from the start of his presidency.

That’s cute. The Babylon Bee can be pretty funny sometimes.
I guess that was fake news that he left the hospital. The Admin Moderator should take it down from the Breaking News sidebar if it’s not true. Regardless, he’s good, Vision. He’s going to get over this just fine.

*sigh* I know, Gina. Just when you thought it was safe to go rake leaves. Well, how quickly things change. As I may have said earlier, I'd gotten in that low speed fender bender several months back, took matters into my own hands, and got all the damage repaired, now the Rogue looks years younger after adding a few extra replacement and cosmetic parts. Well, we'd been discussing getting a new vehicle this year (I was pushing for a full size pickup). What I didn't didn't know was that Connie had a car dealership next door to her job, and when they'd get in an especially nice used vehicle, they send it to her shop for tires, oil change, inspection, etc. They knew she was looking for something within a certain price range, and lo and behold, they had one in: not new, but it's a 2014 Ford F-150 crew cab with the STX package and only 59,000 miles on it. It was literally owned by an older couple who bought it new, never used it as anything but a passenger vehicle, and traded it in because they were getting too rickety to get in and out of it and decided to downsize. It's immaculate, and it's l-l-l-loaded. Full tow package, four-door step rails, posi-lock differential, satellite radio, factory bed liner, the works. It's like a motor home inside. Connie pulled up the Carfax report and it was clean. She had one of her flying monkeys in the garage try to find anything wrong, and he said it was perfect. There's not even a rock ding in the paint (black with a red pinstripe), it was so well taken care of. She asked him about the price, and her contact said he was going to put it on the lot for $32,500, but he'd see what he could do. He called her back a little later, and knocked ten grand off the sticker, to $22,500. We spent all evening trying to find another exact match with mileage that low for that price, and couldn't. Anywhere. She brough it home Friday evening for me to look at, and I said "SOLD!" LOL She put 10% down on it yesterday, signed the papers, and brought it home last night. I'm about to do a grocery run and get dinner to get a good feel for it. Now we have to figure out when we're going to bring the GMC Canyon pickup back here. That'll be our new backup, and I guess we'll sell the Sunfire before the driveway looks like a car lot, too. The thing is so big, it feels like climbing up into a tank getting in, and I feel like I need a NASA recovery team to get back out.

Yeah, I feel like a small, furry arboreal animal climbing a tree when I get in. And I'm 6', 240 lbs. LOL The leg is slowly recovering. I've been told it'll take a while. The onset of it was so quick, though. And my doc said there's no single one cause for phlebitis - it just happens. I'm still walking even more slowly than normal and not exerting myself. The hard lumps under my skin are clots and one could break off and go to my brain. Mom said if it weren't for my platelet count, they'd have probably admitted me and put me on a heparin IV drip, so I guess I'm seeing an unintended benefit of having a blood disorder. The doc phoned in another round of Cephalexin and sulfasalazinefor me, I ran out yesterday and have to wait until tomorrow to get one of them refilled (I guess the whole COVID thing is preventing the pharmacy from doing Sunday refills?). I called in Wednesday, but my doc's admin staff are so abhorrent, he apparently didn't get the message until Friday afternoon, and even then his admin screwed up what to refill first.

I just got back, I’ve determined that the best method so far is a step ladder to get in and a zip line to get out. LOL
