A worker at a catering event with an aerosol spray NO WAY will the be able to find this person, all workers with sanitizer spray bottles no way will they find them BUT they did this not a doubt in my mind!!

If it actually happened that way, they’d have video evidence.

The reason for masks is that upwards of 40% of those positive for the Rona are asymptomatic but they are ABSOLUTELY infectious for upwards of ten days producing millions of airborne particles simply by breathing.

The data on whether "asymptomatic" spreading is occurring is still more speculative than definitive from what I've seen. One of the big points of contention is determining the difference between someone who is "asymptomatic" versus someone who has recently been infected but hasn't shown symptoms yet, but then does after 5 days or more. The concept of the asymptomatic person being some sort of superspreader without a mask is being seized upon by those who want to justify ridiculous levels of mask mandates, but has not been proven.

This was not spread by some asymptomatic person ANYONE with a viral load this large to infect all these people would not have been able to pass the testing procedures to get into the WH!! This virus was brought into the event in an aerosol bottle!!

Pre symptomatics are at their peak of infectious transmission before they show signs of infection a Korean study confirmed that via viral loads in the upper respiratory tract. Masks work on a mass scale Japan, Vietnam, Korea are all quantifiable examples of that. Japan never locked down despite having population density that exceeds NYC in nearly every Japanese city. The key difference is Japan has a mandatory mask use at all times everywhere. And it is part of their culture to use masks every flu season and any time they have so much as a sniffles the person masks up out of respect for their countrymen. I have been to Japan in early winter during peak flu season a few times and every time you see hundreds of people with masks they are an expected part of the flu season.

Not at all, a pre symptomatic person could easily shed enough virus to infect everyone within a few meters of them. Japan and Korea both have published papers showing contagion at 4 meters in a still air environment such as indoors or in a bus in the Japanese paper. There was an inside reception after the outside ceremony where there was hugging and hand shakes and close contacts it’s absolutely probable that one of those who later showed symptoms was already shedding virus at that inside event.

Naah, no split of our country, there is at most 2% of our population causing all this trouble. That is less than our current prison population. So all we do is free the prisoners and let them take their chances with our newly armed Americans, good luck to them.

Then put every Democratic, in any leadership position, in the empty prisons, along with about 300 so called journalists, five retired General Officers and two fat twin Army Lieutenant Colonels. Problem solved - it is just a small group with megaphones working a field of low information voters.

The Hell's Angels could do the job in a week for cheap, and give change back. RINO's could then take the helm of the new Democrat party.

You don’t know that. The lawyer in New Rochelle spread it to 300 people. He got it from caterers at a function he attended. Parts of New Rochelle within a mile of his home were locked down.

Yes, Japan has a high population density, as does a lot of Asia, and so, if their methods proved to be effective in combating the propagation of a coronavirus, it would make sense for an area that had similar density, like NYC, to adopt their method at least as a precaution. However, that isn't what we're seeing. We're seeing idiot governors and mayors in low-density areas demanding mask wearing to the point where people walking around outside, alone, feel obligated to wear masks. Logic, reason and utility are not coming into play with regards to masks.

Also, I'm willing to bet that Japan never sent Covid-infected people into their nursing homes. Roughly half of NY's deaths were attributed to nursing home deaths at one point.

Right, and because the incubation period from infection to definite symptoms can vary so much, and because initial symptoms can vary so much, with COVID-19, I agree: Most likely, one of the people we are thinking of as being infected at the ACB ceremony actually was the spreader.

My own experience with colds bears this out somewhat: I’ve had colds that went from me feeling fine to off my feet and in bed in a day, others seem to gradually ramp up over several days, and many might start out as just the slightest hoarseness after talking too much, or being in a lot of dry air, seem to go away a few or several days, and then come roaring back over a week later.

When did I become contagious? Darn good question.

Regardless if I am Mo’ Nature or an evil Chinese virologist (Mo’ Nature is infinitely more capable), if I am designing an ideal virus to afflict humans, high shedding before noticeable symptoms occur is tops on my list of “features desired”.

Indeed, the transition from pre-symptomatic to symptomatic is not a matter of black and white. Feeling a bit fatigued, for example: Is it the chicken, the egg, or some of both?

I’d also point out (again) to many on FR that most of the group at the ACB ceremony are people likely to be more easily infected than an average American.

Under most circumstances, social distancing absolutely does help. Look up “Inverse Square Law”.

I did not know the debate was held at a medical clinic.
That itself is truly bizarre.

“One spreader at the event”

All the people were tested before the event. And you evidently think the deep state is too honorable to try to infect Trump.

Okay, this seems like some far fetched conspiracy theory, but some of these people have been openly calling for the assassination of the President. NOTHING is beneath them.

Once upon a time, it seemed like a far fetched, harebrained idea the earth is a ball spinning through empty space.
