Twitter warned Friday it will remove posts on its platform that wish for President Trump’s death after he announced he tested positive for COVID-19.
After reports initially surfaced that Twitter would suspend accounts that posted such messages, the company said the tweets would not merit immediate suspension, but would be swiftly removed.
“[T]weets that wish or hope for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against *anyone* are not allowed and will need to be removed. this does not automatically mean suspension,” the platform tweeted from its communications account.
The warning comes the same day as Trump’s announcement that he and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the virus, which has infected more than 7.3 million people in the U.S. and killed more than 208,000.
Social media was soon flooded with posts bashing Trump, though Democrats made several statements wishing the president well.
"Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery," said Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden. "We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family."
Twitter said posts that wish for Trump’s death fall under its abusive behavior policy, which says users “may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.” Under the policy, Twitter may “permanently suspend the account upon initial review” if an account is “engaging primarily in abusive behavior.”

Today I spent soem time browsing the comments on FB from a few local TV stations or newspapers on articles on Trump testing positive for CCPVirus. Of the nasty “he deserved it” type comments I would estimate that 95-98% were from females and of that group 90-95% were white females in their mid-30s to late 50s. The remaining 5-10% had hardly any Hispanics and only a fee blacks, they were mostly younger mid/late 20s-ealry 30s whites.
About 10-20% had a Biden/Harris profile picture and probably 40% had a BLM related. I found that very revealing.
I guess if we are at war we can’t wish for a victory?

I did not see them referring to Trump specifically. I saw a generic post and they still have not done anything about the threats, hate, or celebratory posts.
So far the censorship has only targeted Trump supporters.
Right now, I’d be happy to see these evil, demonic minions swatted.

Just reported a very nasty Tweet on Twitter that fell under this description.. There are some people out there with incredible hate/toxicity/darkness in their heart and soul.
That’s what Biden does in debates. He laughes like the joker evertytime Trump opened his mouth. It was disgusting. I wanted Trump to ask him what was so funny. Biden is a nasty piece of work.
So, will they also delete the Tweet of their former CEO stating that CEO’s who actually want their companies not to engage in political stance will get shot during the Revolution?
Which goes to show you that the only reason for hating Donald Trump is that he beat corrupt Hillary Clinton, their goddess.
These women have not lost their jobs, not lost their health care, they probably paid lower taxes, their 401K's are going up, I could to on and on.
