It was a bit of a surprise to read tweets from Lanny Davis, the famous attorney and associate of Bill and Hillary Clinton, detailing the possible secession of the blue states from the rest of the country. You can read portions of the sequence of tweets here or here.
This may be Lanny's way of venting Democrat frustration. Despite every dirty trick the left has employed, Trump is still president and may continue to be through 2024. Okay, if you red-state rubes will not kneel before us, we will pick up our socialist toys and create a country of our own!
To be clear, this is not a threat of civil war. It is more like a family law attorney telling the unappreciated wife what she can expect out of the divorce. For example, Davis claims that the new country will get the following states:
Hawaii, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and all the Northeast ... including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and Washington D.C.
He then claims that his new country will also get the following:
We get the vast majority of the major shipping ports ... Costco, Starbucks, and Boeing ... stem cell research and the best beaches ... the Statue of Liberty ... Intel, Apple, and Microsoft...85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs ... 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal ... Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Blue states succeed we occupy them and force them to go through restructuring.

Wisconsin and Michigan have Republican legislatures. Are they going to secede? LOL.
Let’s see.....last I checked the South has Avery long coastline with lots of great beaches. Boeing has significant aircraft manufacturing in South Carolina and is looking to move more out of Washington. That’s not to mention Airbus which has a plant in Alabama or major defense contractors which have plants in Georgia, Texas and Kansas. High tech? The 2nd (the research triangle in NC) and 3rd (Tempe, Arizona) and 4th (Austin, Texas) largest high tech hubs in America are in red states. Oil? Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, North Dakota are all red states.
Also, this presumes states would stay intact and counties would not secede from them. I somehow doubt the rest of Virginia wants to go along with the 3 counties of Occupied Northern Virginia, or the rest of Illinois wants to go along with Chicago, the rest of Colorado with Denver, the rest of Nevada with Las Vegas, (Florida will be happy to cut Miami loose), the rest of NY with NYC, Washington-Oregon-California with their coastal strips, etc.
Blue state America is New England, the Acela corridor, the Left Coast and a few scattered big cities. That’s it. I would be delighted to get rid of them.
We get the Gulf Coast, most of the east coast, the oil, and the farming interior. Oh, and Cali has better find a way to access water, because the Colorado River will be completely unavailable to them.
Let them go, and let people and business decide where they want to go. I bet the productive ones eventually end up coming over to our side, anyway. I wouldn’t be so sure about Wisconsin being in their column either.
All the leftist beaches will soon be under water because of climate change. Our’s won’t be.

If the Dems seceded, Trump would have to build more walls. Eventually, they would try to migrate to the US because their country was a sh*thole. We do not want them here.

SC would hold firm. This time it would be a lot of Yankee states seceding. Can’t wait for the anti-Lost Causers to show up and explain how that works. Be prepared for hate and disdain to fill the air.
Then again, a large chunk of California may secede from California. Lotta red in Northern Cali and then Orange County may not go along.
And Washington DC? If Trump wins how do they get DC? LOL
And some of these states would be joint custody, red 2 weeks then blue for 2. This is so comical.
Honestly, I’m kinda laughing my ass off over the irony of this.

At any rate, Western Maryland would like to claim independence from the rest of the forsaken state.
