An American cyclist has been suspended for a tweet he sent out regarding President Donald Trump.
It is the latest example of the chokehold politics seems to have on sports these days.
This past week, Quinn Simmons of the Trek-Segafredo cycling team was suspended for tweets described as “divisive, incendiary, and detrimental.”

Saying “Bye” to a social media site, is hardly a pro=Trump tweet. This whole thing makes me sick. I will never own a Trek.

This has to stop....people are kicked out of jobs, mocked in the media, families are harassed.
Somebody start a GoFundMe account for this young man and I will gladly contribute to support his legal team. This kind of un-American behavior must be halted by sizeable judgements in a court of law.
He needs to appear at the next Trump Rally.
I own two Trek bikes. Called them today to tell them they are suspended until they change their mind about the First Amendment. They were feeling some pain because i wasn’t the first one to call.
