$599 is with a smidgeon of memory. You will need another $150 to get something worthwhile.

“iPad Air latest release with the A14 processor, announced two weeks ago is not[?] imminent.”

Typo meaning inversion?

Brain fart. . . Or added by the system. I’ve noticed that the spell checker has been adding common phrases for spell checking lately. You’ve got to watch for that now. GRRRR! Either way.

Depends on what you are doing with it. If you are going to load it down with a lot of your own music, video, and photos for off grid use, then yes. If you are going to use it at home for use with music, video, and photos you’ve uploaded to your iCloud account, not so much. Email is all cloud based. You can store your photos either on the iCloud or on your home computer for access, and stream music. For that, you don’t need a lot of storage on the iPad/iPhone, 64GB is sufficient.

I’ve been using my 256GB iPad Pro for two years and have not used up 60GBs yet. . . And I’ve got a lot on it locally, most of which are temorary notes just on my iPad until I decide if they need to be shared or archived on the iCloud account... but almost all of my data is stored on my iCloud account and shared between my iPhone, iPad Pro, and my MacBook and my MacPro. Why keep it on a portable device that could get lost or stolen?

On the other hand, if you’re out in the field a lot, need reference files when you are away from a reliable cellular connection, then having those files locally is useful and having a large capacity 256GB of storage makes sense.

In other words, your mileage may vary.

Please name some advantage that I might want over an iPad Pro. Honestly, I don’t understand why I might want one.
