Sounds like a harrowing trip! GPS is are so useful, but they can be frustrating at times. My old GPS keeps trying to take me over the covered bridge here. It’s been closed to anything but foot traffic for about a century.
GPS takes folks over SkyLine Drive to our house. Beautiful trip if you like hairpin curves and roadbeds that have sides with 40’ drops. Great views. We can see the power towers on the Ohio at Madison -an hour drive away - at one of the lookouts.
