What about airlines, hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, bartenders, roadies, personal trainers, tourism, etc...?
Hell no!
Exactly.
No!
Sell a mansion, but don’t come crying to me.
Clearly not. If it were there would be no need for a bailout.
Want to see why America is turning away from this "central" experience? Watch the Oscars. That's what the industry rewards, that's what it has turned into. It isn't selling, and the answer isn't to fleece the former audiences through their taxes.
Why do that? CNN just declared that the shutdowns are the new normal and will never end. And EVERYONE KNOWS that sitting in a movie theater with other people is among the most dangerous activities known to man. Therefore we can NEVER go the theater again. Therefore, let this dangerous industry die.
‘
Since this is Hollywood’s bread and butter why does’t Hollywood bail out the theater industry themselves?
WHAT ABOUT COPS???
With current technology, I will likely never go to a movie again. $20 for a ticket, another $20 for food and a drink.
Or, sit in your comfortable chair in your own home with a personal theater setup?...
No ghetto hoodrats at my house either.
We’re defunding cops and firemen.
I can’t see any problems arising from it.
They sell 30 cents of poporn for $8 bucks. If anything they should all be sued for ripping off the public!
No, suffer like most every other business.
Movie businesses going to bail out all those Mom and Pop business that will never open again? No.
Therefore, IMHO, GTFO with your bail out BS.
Tell BlASSio to cut the cr** and open up New York...instead of feeding these special interests from the money tree.
NOT A PENNY. NOT A SINGLE FARTHING.
Let me play you a sad song on the worlds smallest violin. And NO!
“Watch the Oscars. That’s what the industry rewards, that’s what it has turned into.”
Well said.
If they want a bailout they should ask their masters in China and silicon valley.
Steve McQueen?
Let theaters close for good.
People can watch movies at home with family and friends.
