This poor child just wanted to scoot down a hill, to feel the breeze and the rumble of his wheels against pavement. Instead, he got chased down by a bird looking for a fight.
The kid, apparently named Max, screamed and screamed as the bird dive-bombed him. Who knows what possessed that bird, but the child's screams really are fitting for 2020.
According to ViralHog, where the video was published, the boy's father said this took place in Warilla, New South Wales, Australia.
"My son and I went riding our scooter and pushbikes," the father said, according to the video description. "That was when I noticed Max being swooped by a Magpie."
While Max might've yelled at first — and honestly, it was hilarious to watch — he later went back to face his fears (the bird) on his bike. And that time it was all laughs.

I was just reading about bulldog ants. Apparently even Australian ants can kill you. Is there any animal native to Australia that is not lethal in some form?
Reminds me of a Dick Van Dyke show where Rob’s son Richie was being dive bombed by a woodpecker.

a pair of those crazy magpies made a nest in a tree outside the base post office. Hilarity ensued for several weeks. Territorial little suckers.
Mockingbirds here in Texas do the same thing if you get too close to the nest. Wonder if they’re related to Magpies?
