I>Child cited for careless driving
A 12-year-old boy caused a chain-reaction crash while driving his mothers vehicle without permission, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened Monday at about 6:30 p.m. on Sand Lake Road and Sunport Drive when the boy rear-ended a Jeep while driving his mothers 2010 BMW.
A Mazda and a Dodge were also involved in the chain-reaction crash, records show.
All four vehicles were able to pull into a parking lot until authorities arrived.
The boy was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries and he was also cited for driving without a license and careless driving, troopers said.
A News 6 viewer, who provided a photo of the Jeep, said her daughter was hurt and everyone is bruised and banged up.
Troopers didnt provide details about how many people were involved in the crash and the extent of their injuries, if any.
It’s important that we know the kinds of autos involved in this tragedy. Kudos to the reporter who dug up that info.
He is so grounded!!
Did they arrest mom for having a stolen car in her possession?
If only his mother had given him her permission, this would never have happened...
I hear you, but we actually had a case where a 14-year-old got a ticket for reckless driving and it turned out his mom gave him permission to drive because she didnt fell like running him around. Of course, he also had the rich Latino (not Mexican-American, Latino), prince of the family who can do no wrong handicap. Judge was not sympathetic...
Nobody whos offended by the above characterization, go live anywhere in Latin America and you will know EXACTLY what I mean.
Florida boy, practicing to become Florida Man.
Thats nothing. My brother took my moms car for a drive when he was two.
For real
