As a Catholic I am troubled by prophecies, as they are often delivered by those who are well outside the church. However, it is hard to deny that some, like Cayce, Nostradamus, and recently Kim Clements, seem to have foretold or have remarkable insight on occasion on the future. I dont understand all the implications as they relate to Catholic thought, but nonetheless I am fascinated by pre-told events. And, in that light, hasnt Q frequently predicted the future?
In end times GOD spoke through the prophet Joel:
28 I will pour out My Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on My servants, both men and women,
I will pour out My Spirit in those days. ~ Joel 2:28-29
God still speaks through prophets, but their message must line up to Scripture. The late David Wilkerson never referred to himself as a prophet, but the vision that he had in the early 70s and published as "The Vision" has happened or is coming to pass, the latest being the fires that are raging in our cities and the need for believers to repent and turn back to GOD.
This man appears to be a heretic...
Nostradamus studied medicine and became a physician, treating plague victims throughout France and Italy. Its believed he had a psychic awakening. He began to practice the occult and make predictions of the future, which he published in The Prophecies. Many people today believe his predictions have come true or will in the future.
