I don't think any New England state permits the death penalty no matter how horrific the crime. Until such time as we get a real governor, Pennsylvania is sadly the same, even though we at least have it on the books.

I read the article, and a good lawyer ought to be able to argue this down because a) infidelity is not a crime, and b) her face already paid pretty well.
Even if they can prove she removed the head, unless it was done cleanly and/or she was beaten after she did that, it looks like someone wanted her to do or stop doing something.
They’re obviously not Republicans, or it would have been in the headline.

That is where Keene State College is.
That is where Annie Kuster is from. Keene competes with Durham(UNH) for the most liberal part of NH.
The killer and his wife are from Jaffrey. That is a very nice small town. I know people from Jaffrey.
This is a crazy jealous husband. He will be in jail for the rest of his life. She will probably get off with probation if she has a good lawyer.
