Several celebrities have spent massive amounts of money on their pets — and Oprah Winfrey is one of them.
Over the years, the famed talk show host hasn’t shied away from expressing her unconditional love for her loyal pups. Since she doesn’t have children of her own, Oprah treats her pooches as though they’re her kids. And seeing that they are the loves of her life, the media mogul wants to make sure they are well-taken care of if anything were to happen to her. Which is why she has a trust fund worth $30 million set up for her beloved pups.(snip)
Since she doesn’t have children, Oprah looks at her dogs as her kids and showers them with an abundance of love, which they give right back to her.
“Over the years, I have felt the truest, purest love — the love of God, really, I imagine that’s what God’s love feels like — is the love that comes from your dog,” the media mogul shared.

I hate to say it, but I would be pissed off if I were one of her dogs.
She probably left the money to the dogs during their lifetimes but the bulk of it after their deaths will go to some animal charity or something.

I plan to leave some money to ensure that our pets live out their lives in security and comfort.
Well spent money would be to build animal shelters that will foster and rescue thousands of animals over the decades instead of a handful of spoiled dogs for a couple of years. Many communities have insufficient animal shelters.

Exactly. Bob Barker was a true champion for our four legged friends. His estate provided grants to the Humane Society for years. He helped thousands of pets.

That view is an extremely slippery slope with no good outcome.
It would only be a hop, skip, and a jump from saying that is criminal to saying leaving money to anyone other than the government is a criminal act.
As it’s her money, legally speaking, she can set it afire.
