Several celebrities have spent massive amounts of money on their pets and Oprah Winfrey is one of them.
Over the years, the famed talk show host hasnt shied away from expressing her unconditional love for her loyal pups. Since she doesnt have children of her own, Oprah treats her pooches as though theyre her kids. And seeing that they are the loves of her life, the media mogul wants to make sure they are well-taken care of if anything were to happen to her. Which is why she has a trust fund worth $30 million set up for her beloved pups.(snip)
Since she doesnt have children, Oprah looks at her dogs as her kids and showers them with an abundance of love, which they give right back to her.
Over the years, I have felt the truest, purest love the love of God, really, I imagine thats what Gods love feels like is the love that comes from your dog, the media mogul shared.

It’s her money.
She can do as she pleases with it.
It says a lot about her, and none of it good.
Personally, I am fine with this. If it being spent on her dogs, it can’t be thrown into political campaigns, abortion rights, and Black Lives Matter.

The dogs look pretty happy about it... they thought they were going to be eaten by the guy in the ketchup bottle.

Its her money. She can do as she pleases with it. True. But we should hold them to their own hypocritical standards. Can you imagine what kind of fit the left would pitch if it were a conservative billionaire who did this?

That should be a crime.
I'll take it over whatever Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are leaving their money to, mostly Planned PArenthood type operations.
You leave your money to your two dogs, and what does it really mean. The dogs spend the rest of their days eating the best, healthiest dog food and maybe some tasty people food prepared for them, the best veterinarian comes to them whenever they get the sniffles, and a caretaker gets to live in a mansion with grounds, with the responsibility to be an advocate for the dogs. If Oprah is big on pet therapists, one of those will be provided.
After a long life (15 more years max) the dogs go to their reward, but there is still millions of dollars and a serious place to live left. The millions will go to whoever is next in line, the estate gets sold, presumably to humans. Overall, it is a better use of money than spending it on a Meghan Markle.

I agree on that point, and I am all for poking fingers in her eyes.
Just saying-I would rather she gave $30 million to the dogs rather than to Black Lives Matter.

When my unmarried SIL died around age 50 she left a few hundred thousand dollars, and the condo in Brentwood, to her two cats. What a mess! We were glad she had a Trustee (not us) listed in her will so we didn’t have to deal with it.

I have it in my will that whoever takes my pet at the time of my death will receive a decent stipend.
I hate hearing that so-and-so’s beloved pet was taken to the pound.
