I think the whole lot of you would not be so hard hearted if you were the one on the scooter and broke a lot of bones. That lady will probably be crippled to some degree for the rest of her life, and that dangerous scooter is responsible.
In my opinion, people are viewing it through the prism of personal responsibility.
She CHOSE to drive that scooter. Nobody forced her to. And she approved a waiver, no doubt.
We don’t need to ridicule her. But if she chose to drive such an inherently dangerous thing, it is her responsibility.
“I think the whole lot of you would not be so hard hearted if you were the one on the scooter and broke a lot of bones.”
Never would I get on a thing such as that and ride through the streets with traffic.
As the old saying goes, ‘You pays your money, you takes your chances’.
Is that dangerous scooter like those dangerous gas-guzzling SUVs?
What’s dangerous about it?
Get real .... undoubtedly probably has problems walking into things while on her phone. My guess was that the idiot was texting while scooting.
Did someone force her at gunpoint to rent and ride the scooter? If the risks are so obvious and serious, she should have kept on walking. Or hailed a cab.
