To clarify, there were links in the twitter post, but I did not look at them.
I double checked those numbers-the numbers for 2018 and 2019 are correct. The chart for 2020 only went to 9/24 and the totals were updated on 9/25-but the amount seems reasonable.
I have no way of knowing how the annualized number was calculated. The current year stats would have a lag time due the delay involved between actual date of death and reporting of death.
