There is very little open-source info in the “team lead” of Crossfire Hurricane (hereafter XH).
Preistap was AD-CD in April 2017.
All agents (Strzok, Pientka, Moyer from graphic) answered to him.
But, I see no mention of a team lead for XH.
In this matter, I can only conclude that the name and existence of a team lead for XH was a closely guarded position.
Some timelines are appearing that make some sense:
Strzok was assigned to SCMueller around that time, meaning his time would need to be split between the SC and “normal” FBI stuff.
Pientka was NOT on the SC team.
Did Pientka get reassigned the lead after Strzok went to Mueller?
Secondarily, Pientka could have been assigned that position by Priestap on the recomm of a WhiteHat at DOJ (assigned by Bouregard)?
Either way, no real conclusions.
My research didn’t find a name, just the implication that it is Pientka as the DOJ embed.
Hence, his current “non-existence”.
It also shed little light on the White Hat assigned by Bouregard to look into XH.
