Prius tries to drive around a protest in Hollywood as the mob converges on the vehicle, hitting it. The driver speeds off, prompting militants to chase it down in a truck, smash the windows, and try to pull the driver out of the car.

This is like something out of Night of the living dead
The Prius driver was handcuffed AT GUNPOINT. But the video then stops. So we dont know if he was actually arrested. He could have been released after telling his story.
Side comment to the Prius guy: If you enjoyed your little interaction with the mob there, be sure to vote for Biden in November.
First off, this is what the cops in California, not just Los Angeles, are like.
Also, what is really happening is that the rioters are just replaying the Charlottesville meme: surround a car, terrorize the driver, shake it, beat on it, get them to try to move: then when they do, accuse them of trying to assault you.
And the cops dutifully comply: no one is allowed to impede Sacred Antifa Riots.
I read elsewhere that he was detained, interviewed, and released. For what its worth.
Actually he was pursued and blocked in by a terrorist vehicle. The intent was to drag the driver out and beat up.
Not allowing himself to be beat to death was the real crime, like police not allowing themselves to be shot or knifed by some thug.
civil rights charges need to start to be filed by the thousands against these rioters.
Driver was detained, police got details, and he was released. Trouble is, now the driver is exposed for identification by the mob.
FL just gave protection for threatened drivers. Every state should issue a free-to-flee statute.
and get a real vehicle.
Soon there will be a person that they try this with that will be armed, and people will die (maybe several of them). It is stupid for the truck to assume that the occupant of the car is unarmed. Even us old folks are armed (perhaps better than the young ‘protestors’.
Cops are running the risk of being hated by everyone.

Interesting. Thanks for mentioning that. It might explain - but not excuse - why the police were so aggressive with the Prius driver.
A karate master I know said the best defense is not to be there. I suppose thats good advice to follow when a city is under mob rule.
Supposedly he wasn’t arrested, just detained.
Prius driver. Ha! No sympathy for moonbats caught at the wrong place and wrong time.
Let me see, terrorists drive after a lawfully ridden vehicle, cut it off, stop it on the highway and surround the car AND the driver of that car is detained? What alternate universe is this from. Guy was in his right to blast the suckers to kingdom come, that is this universe that I live in.
Personal story, my GF and I were marooned in a disabled car awaiting a tow near Santa Barbara on 101 around 1983. Psycho arrives and begins pounding on my window. I pull my handgun and point it at him telling him to move on. My lib girfriend says: you are not going to shoot him. I asked should I let him let him beat the crap out of me and rape you? Fortunately the zero brain moved on. Last year I got a picture of her with Nancy Pelosi inserted with a christmas card. Some people just don’t get it and never will.
Prius...
An obvious liberal so that’s confusing to begin with. Guess they didn’t have their rainbow flag on the back with the Elizabeth Warren bumper sticker.
They will get right on that in Oregon/S
It’s OK, the Police were “just following orders”
FL just gave protection for threatened drivers. Every state should issue a free-to-flee statute.
