PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – Changing course from their original stances earlier this week, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police will join the Portland Police Bureau this weekend for protests in the city.
Gov. Kate Brown was joined by PPB Chief Chuck Lovell, Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese and OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton at a news conference Friday morning.
The four discussed law enforcement’s plans for several demonstrations scheduled in Portland Saturday. The sheriff’s office and state police will lead crowd management with PPB for a unified response to the protests.
The governor announced she was using executive authority to mobilize deputies and troopers to be in Portland for 48 hours.

Why do the Sheriff have to listen to Governor? I don't get that...She did not appoint him..."Executive authority"...Whatever that means...

State troopers should assume sniper stations with orders to take out the first shooter that shows a gun flash. Then broadcast a call to collect all firearms in a pile between the two factions. Cops gather the guns, and the demonstration continues. Or cops stay at their sniper positions and enforce the law against rioting.

There are two sets of laws in this country: One set of laws for BLM/Antifa and another set of laws for the rest of us.
If a member of BLM/Antifa should shoot a Proud Boy in the head, then it will be considered as self defense. Should a Proud Boy or anyone not Antifa/BLM dare to defend themselves, then they will be charged with murder. In the minds of the left, we need to silently accept the fact that we are second class citizens. We will not be silent forever.
I like to imagine a dozen patriots lined up across the street where the riot is occurring, armed with shotguns and firing #2 shot into the legs of the perps.
Pretty sure that would clear the scene in a hurry.
