Long before arriving in the WNBA's bubble at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, the league's players resolved to devote their 2020 season to Breonna Taylor.
Now, 195 days after her death and one day after a grand jury neglected to charge any of the three police officers who fatally shot her, the players are speaking out.
Prior to the Minnesota Lynx's and Seattle Storm's WNBA playoff semifinal matchup Thursday night, Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier read a statement in response to the sentencing in Taylor's case on behalf of all of the players in the league. Connecticut Sun star Jasmine Thomas read the same statement before tipoff of the second game of the night.

“Louisville police officers used a no-knock warrant to enter Taylor’s home back in March and fatally shot her while she was asleep....All three fired gunshots on the night of March 13, when they employed a botched no-knock warrant at the wrong apartment. Taylor was shot and killed. The 26-year-old EMT was asleep in her own home when she was shot.”

And of course, no mention of Number 4: Police RETURNED FIRE after her boyfriend shot them.

Nope, I guess it was her drug dealing partner, possibly using her as a shield, nice guy.

What is the WNBA going to do when the NBA can’t afford the subsidy anymore? The WNBA is currently a parasite who’s host is trying to kill or at least severely maim itself.
I’m sure all 10 people watching will be enthralled.
The facts of the case speak for themselves. The cops did nothing wrong. They returned fire after announcing themselves as police. The one to blame is the shooting boyfriend dope pusher.
If the brain dead crazies can’t grasp these basic facts then that’s just too bad for them.
Taylor made poor choices in the company she kept and it ended up with her dead. That’s it. That’s the entire story in a nutshell.
So, what on earth is the WNBA? Guessing the ‘World News Broadcasters of America’ (fake newsers), or maybe the ‘Western Needle Brocade Association’ (folks who like to sew), or possibly the ‘Wide-open National Borders Agency’ (some UN group). Please correct me if I’m wrong...
They devoted their season to a hoax
This is so disappointing. It has forced me to make a difficult decision. While I was so looking forward to the WNBA season this year, and I mean it is all that I live for, I cannot tolerate politics mixed with sports. After long thought, about 2 seconds, I have decided to never watch the WNBA again. Anyway, it is probably for the best. I just got smell-a-vision on my smart TV. There is nothing more disgusting than the smell of nappy heads hos sweating all over the place. It is not what I consider lady like.
Maybe the WNBA can use that stiff Taylor had in her rental car as their mascot.
You can learn a lot about a person based upon who their heroes are huh?

But your commentary suggested that she's culpable in her own death. While I agree that if you run with dogs then you shouldn't whine about the fleas, that doesn't sanction being killed by the dog catcher.
