Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R) is asking the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate billionaire Mike Bloomberg’s effort to help felons in Florida register to vote for “potential violations of election laws.”

Bloomberg, a former Democratic presidential hopeful, announced earlier this month that he would spend millions to help convicted Florida felons pay court fees so they can become eligible to vote in the hotly contested swing state.

Florida passed a law in 2018 reinstating voting rights for up to 1 million felons that dictated they could register only if they complete “all terms” of their sentences. The state legislature and Supreme Court decided that “all terms” includes fines and fees. Democratic groups using Bloomberg money to launch $6M in Spanish... Mike Tyson says he'll vote for the first time this year In the letter, Moody says Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) asked her to look into the fundraising effort.

Moody’s letter comes a day after Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz called for an investigation into Bloomberg’s fundraising, which he described as a “bribe.”

“It’s not every felon. It’s just those which they have specifically identified as the Biden voters,” Gaetz said on Fox News. “That’s offering a bribe, an inducement, for someone to behave a certain way in voting.”

“After preliminary reviewing of the limited public information and law, it appears further investigation is warranted,” Moody wrote in a letter to law enforcement, citing news articles about Bloomberg’s fundraising.

Go very slow. Run out the clock. Make the decision on October 6 at 8 o’clock at night. Deadline for registering is October 8th. Give them 24-hours. Ha! Good luck.

What can Bloomberg do to make sure these felons will vote for the RATS?
Make them sign a contract?
Put them all in a felon camp and make them vote dems?
Threaten to send them right back to prison if they do not vote dems?

Hey, I know, the FL authorities in charge of these felons simply make up some instant rules/laws requiring additional huge fees and whatnot with a 3-day deadline..... see if bloomberg and gang can fund-raise that much in a short time................

Prediction - mini-mike will blow off these money for nothung just as he blew all the $ for his presidential bid!

So, my question with this is, if it is determined Bloomberg broke the law, do the felons benefitting still get to vote?

“No person shall directly or indirectly give or promise anything of value to another intending thereby to buy that person’s or another’s vote”

It would be so fitting to see Bloomie being drug through the courts in an orange jumpsuit. It would also give other billionaires pause.

Bloomie’s was the weirdest prez campaign we have ever witnessed——he stayed out of voting range
(knowing he’d lose?). He always seemed to be making “victory speeches.”

As a debater he was the arrogant Mr Know-Nothing in the flesh. Said not a word that might show voters he could “get it done.”

AND THIS In an astounding lack of self awareness, at a CNN town hall, Bloomberg actually boasted
that he makes an effort to shake bellhops' hands in NYC so that they can go home and tell their families they know someone "important."

I guess Bloomberg also gives them cake crumbs to snack on, too.

The issue is about giving anything of value to get someone to vote REGARDLESS of who the candidate is.
In Florida, certain things are exempt, such as giving a stamp for a ballot mailing,a ride given to the voter’s precinct to vote, etc.
Cash for any other reason is illegal

I guess - while mini-mike and gang are being investigated, the authorities should prohibit felons who receive the bail-out $ from paying the fees/fines thus cannot become non-felons in time to vote?

Anything to discredit min-mike and gang, to shine the lights on his bribery and whatnot is good!

Bloomberg must be extremely resentful he can’t have business as usual with China. President Trump upset the apple cart.
The Biden’s benefited from deals with China, Ukraine and Russia. Now, Bloomberg is trying to buy votes. His money
is spent for a reason. Soros plays the same game.

Is it a crime to sell your vote? If yes, then the felons are committing a new crime.

Is it too late to change the law? I’d like to think the legislature and people of Fl tried to do a good thing here originally and of course the RAT’s ruin it for them.

Throw the book at the little SOB.

Under Fla state laws governing “fraudulent practices,” it is a third-degree felony to “knowingly and willfully ...
make or use any false document, knowingly containing false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry”
connected to the Dept of State (which oversees elections).

While the fraud statute is not contained in the state’s election code, it relates to the
election because it concerns elections, which fall under the aegis of the Dept of State.

==================================

====================================

It is entirely possible that Bloomberg violated Florida's voting practices-----that may impact several federal laws including, but are not limited to:

<><> Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241 - Conspiracy Against Rights It further makes it unlawful for two or more persons to go in disguise on the highway or on the premises of another with the intent to prevent or hinder his/her free exercise or enjoyment of any rights so secured.

<><> Title 18 U.S.C. §1341, Mail Fraud, 18 U.S.C.§1001, Presenting a False Document to an Agent of the US Government for funding (may involve several felonies and could include forgery);

<><> 18 U.S.C.§1027 False statements and concealment of facts and other offenses including civil and/or criminal RICO violations.

<><> 18 U.S.C. §§1961-68 (RICO Act)18 U.S.C. §1001 (making false Statements to Agents of the US Government,

<><> 18 U.S.C. §241 (Conspiracies Against Civil Rights). Violation of Civil Rights under Color of law and conspiracy. Conspiring with others to violate 4th amendment rights (of Trump voters).

<><> Possibly full investigations centering on RICO conspiracies under 18 U.S.C. §1962(c) could be warranted because (1) the persons (2) were employed by or associated with a public enterprise (3) that engaged in or affected interstate commerce and that (4) the persons operated or managed the enterprise (5) through a “pattern” (6) of racketeering activity, and (7) the taxpayers were injured by reason of the “pattern” of racketeering activity.

<><> Alleged Offenses could include Violation of Rights – which prohibits in relevant part, “two or more persons (from conspiring) to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District

<><> Title 18 U.S.C. §2 41 – Conspiracy Against Constitutional mandates in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of having so exercised the same . . .” See, 18 U.S.C. §241.

Voters should demand the following agencies commence investigations into Bloomberg at once:
<><> FBI — Wire Fraud Division
<><> IRS-Fraud Unit
<><> Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General,
<><> Department of Commerce’s Office of Inspector General.
<><> DOJ’s Criminal Division— Public Integrity Section
<><> DOJ Criminal Division—Organized Crime and Gang Section.
