Not necessarily. Torpedoes are mostly wireguided now, I think - probably by computers. I’ve been out of the Navy for a loooong time now, so I’m open to correction. The fire control officer used to be able to guide them with a joy stick, but that was a long time ago. We did not have to be at zero bubble to let them go.

Torpedoes can launch regardless the depth or skew of the sub, or the roll/pitch of a ship. They are small compared to ICBMs.
