In some —or many cases— they Specifically exempt themselves from the law. Obamacare is one example. When I lived in the communist republic of California, and Obamacare was proposed, I asked Congressman John Garamendi at a town hall if Congress would be covered and have to use Obamacare. Of course he lied and said they would.

I think you and I are on the same page, LJ, it’s just a question of this do we get the critters to obey. Hopefully The Donald can get this done in the second term.

Yes, we are on the same page; and definitely they need to stop exempting themselve from any laws they pass, and that should be retroactive. Maybe an R majority with majority decent human beings could get that done.

Remember, it wasn’t long ago they had exempted themselves from insider trading laws... There should be an amendment that any public employee caught breaking a law or regulation they passed suffer 2 or 3X the consequences.
